Giveaway: Music Organizing Application – TidySongs
If you are using iTunes to organize your music, here’s something you may find interesting. Earlier last month I was introduced to this app called TidySongs by Jennifer of Cloudbrain.

TidySongs has a pretty self-descriptive name. It an application with one sole purpose - organizes your iTunes songs. Here’s what TidySongs do:
- Remove duplicated songs
- Fix miss-spelled song names
- Fill up the missing data – artists, years and genres (Something perfectionist collectors will love), and
- The function I like most – Add missing album-art so they look cool in your cover flow.
TidySongs is an Adobe Air application, so it will work well on either Windows, Mac or Linux.

The best part is, all these can be done automatically . I’ve been using it for about a month now and I thought it’s quite a cool application. So I went ahead and asked if they can give me some free copies so I can give it away to hongkiat readers, and they say – YES
How to Win
TidySongs cost per copy and I’ve got 5 licensed copies to giveaway to our readers. If you are interested in winning one, comment in!
Contest starts today, ends 15th February 2010. Good luck!

I have quite a large library that I’m constantly trying to streamline and such. If this works as touted, it would be a great tool.
Hi Everyone,
I have to say that the program does NOT what it is supposed to do. I does not alter the Library it just does as if…. I tried this on 2 macs. The support from Tidysongs is really bad! People do not respond on my request. After many hard attempts I got my money back…
Regards
Dennis
If you still have free copies I would like to try this. Did anyone figure out what problem Dennis was having?
I have approx 200 GB of mp3′s and am having some trouble. It took 4 days to “FIX” and now it is stuck on 34% for duplicates and I have tried restarting etc. Perhaps I have too many files.
I have the same problem as John, when fixing duplicates it stays stuck on 34%. Is there a fix to this?
